Unfortunately I didn’t read the description when I ordered and so I was a little disappointed when it arrived because it is matt and the other mugs I ordered have a shiny glaze. It doesn’t really match the others in my cupboard and it’s a bit like drinking out of a terracotta plant pot! However, that is obviously down to my personal preference. Otherwise the mug is great but my fault for not checking the description properly.
